Southface Energy Institute

Southface is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, governed by a volunteer board of directors. Southface has a longstanding reputation for providing sound environmental education and outreach programs and has been recognized for excellence by the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, American Institute of Architects, American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, Georgia Environmental Council, Earth Share of Georgia and numerous other industry and community organizations. Southface began as a grassroots organization and continues to be supported by memberships and sponsorships.

American Lung Association Health House Certification 

The ALA Health House® is a renowned home indoor air quality certification that is earned through a series of site inspections that evaluate indoor air quality improvements.
Improvements may include air sealing and insulation techniques, high-performance windows, high-efficiency heating and air conditioning systems, whole-house air filtration, proper ventilation, and industry-compliant interior finishes and materials.

Sierra Club

Founded in 1892, the Sierra Club has been working to protect communities, wild places, and the planet itself. We are the oldest, largest, and most influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States. And our founder, John Muir, appears on the back of the California quarter.

EPA

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) leads the nation’s environmental science, research, education and assessment efforts. The mission of the Environmental Protection Agency is to protect human health and the environment. Since 1970, EPA has been working for a cleaner, healthier environment for the American people.

Home Performance with ENERGY STAR

ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy that is designed to help Americans save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices. Home Performance with ENERGY STAR, a national program from the U.S. EPA and U.S. DOE, offers a comprehensive, whole-house approach to improving energy efficiency and comfort at home, while helping to protect the environment.
